Taskscape Ltd. approved a resolution imposing sanctions against sales to countries whose governments are taking unlawful actions against the company's freedoms.
Apart from compensation claims resulting in unlawful actions taken against the company's freedom to publish code, blogs, company's good name or finances of the company - which objectively took place and subsequently were confirmed to be unlawful by the relevant courts, the company reserves the right to impose sanctions on their customers in the form of surcharges to the official prices charged for royalties, licences or services provided by the company. The surcharges are aligned with the following rules:
- Band A: A 100% surcharge to all licenced procucts, and all services - is imposed to be levied against countries taking part in any formal unions with countries which actions are limiting company's freedoms and which utimately prove to be unlawful.
- Band B: A 200% surcharge to all licenced products and all services - is imposed to be levied against countries taking part individually in actions that limit the company's freedom and ultimately prove to be unlawful.
- Band C: A 300% surcharge is imposed on all licenced productions and services to be levied against countries taking direct actions limiting the company's freedom, which proves to be unlawful.
Irrespectively of the sanctions policy, Taskscape Ltd declares its continual policy of executing its powers to publish its software (including relevant patents and trademarks), as well as articles (including relevant blogs and books) under the legal framework of the United Kingdom (as well as the United States, where applicable). In the advent of facts revealed in the judicial process, the company decided to cover the following countries with its sanctions policy: Poland (band C), Belarus (band B), and Russia (band A). In due course of the respective judicial processes, the countries included have delivered proof of their involvement against failed attempts to attack the company's freedoms aimed against our customers, as well as their involvement against the rule of law.
The decision made by the board of directors is final and irrevocable, with a decision review process due on 12 March 2025.
